Programs
Our programs are the heart of what we do. Learn about who we fund to help children and families.
The Feingold Center for Children (TFCC)
The physicians at the Feingold Center for Children provide diagnosis and treatment for children with birth defects, genetic diseases, and intellectual disabilities. Many of the children they treat require the care of numerous specialists. The Center staff coordinates these appointments thus decreasing the necessity of frequent trips to physicians. The Center supports 11 satellite clinics throughout the New England area which allow children and families to receive care in their local community.
The Center also offers genetic counseling for prospective parents and for persons with a family history of a genetic disease or familial cancer. For more information on the services the Center provides call 781-466-9555.
The Pregnancy Exposure InfoLine (PEIL)
The Feingold Center for Children serves as the home for The Pregnancy Exposure InfoLine. Trained individuals answer calls regarding exposures during pregnancy. Callers are given information about such, which often calms the caller’s concerns. All sorts of questions are handled from make-up to medications – no question is too trivial or too serious. PEIL is a free confidential service with the goal of providing the most up to date factual information to help individuals make informed, knowledge based decisions about exposures during pregnancy. To reach the Pregnancy Exposure InfoLine, dial 1-800-322-5014.
Therapy and the Performing Arts – Cape Cod (TPA)
Therapy & the Performing Arts programs allow children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in various arts and recreational programs. In addition to receiving therapeutic benefit from these fun activities, the children also gain new and rewarding experiences from which they develop self-confidence and increased motor function. The programs include music, dance, drama, art, horseback riding and more. Classes are taught by certified instructors and therapists.
